Update, 30 Aug, 17:35: We have spoken to the police but we have not seen an official report. From what we understand from them, which is not complete or final, what seems to have happened is the following: The accident seems to have occurred when the bus was overtaking another vehicle. It appears that the bus had not fully returned to its lane when a truck hit the rear end of it. We will update this information or edit it as we get better and more accurate reports. We want to repeat that Elmer is the only deceased as of now, and Irma remains the only other seriously injured person. We also have spoken with the government of Kenya, as well as companies and members of the Kenyan community, who are supporting us on this difficult day. Members of AIESEC International have been sent to Mombasa, where they will arrive tonight, to best support the other passengers involved in the accident. We are continuously working to support them and their families.
