Meeting Diversity
What is MD?
Meeting Diversity is the biggest and most successful Social Project which AIESEC Bulgaria organizes for 8 years. For its more than 20 editions in 5 Bulgarian towns Meeting Diversity has become an important tradition for Bulgarian youth. The project aims to provide diverse opportunities for Bulgarian students to get valuable knowledge and skills by participating in extracurricular classes specially prepared and presented at their schools by international students.
The topics of the classes will be directed primarily to cultural understanding, development of presentation, communication, organizational and language skills. This project is an exceptional opportunity for Bulgarian students to learn and interact with international interns which will effectively contribute to the development of their personal qualities, to become more proactive and explore new relationships.
The next edition of the project will take place between the 18th of December 2011 and 31st of March 2012 simultaneously in 3 towns and 4 LCs – Varna, Svishtov, UNWE and TU. Hurry up! Choose one of them!

Start 05.02.2012 – End 25.03.2012
The intern has to prepare and deliver interactive class sessions supported by the project team. The main issues are developing leadership skills among students and career orientation. The intern should cover topics such as team work, time management, negotiations, presentation and communication skills development. The intern have to prepare and organize social event together with the children , trainings and games covering the topics of the internship.

The main issues in the project are career planning and cultural understanding. Interns are going to deliver trainings about team management, team work, time management, presentation skills. Interns are going to lead sessions about career planning and orientation, as well as to present their home country, culture and traditions by presentations, videos, music, clothes, maps, flags, books, brochures, food and beverage. Interns are going to participate in social events with all students, partners and sponsors of the project – before, during and after the project itself like Global Village and Closing event.

The main issues are developing soft skills, career planning and cultural understanding. The intern is going to present his country, culture and traditions in front of the students as well as to prepare and deliver trainings: presentation skills, effective communication, emotional intelligence, self-awareness and setting personal goals. Moreover, intern is going to lead sessions about innovation and business entrepreneurship, jobs orientation and career planning. The intern will carry out with the students’ tests and games to determine the IQ and level of emotional intelligence of the students. The intern is going to participate in a social events with all students, sponsors and partners of the project discussing the project and its continuity – Global Village, Opening and Closing events.

The intern is going to prepare interactive sessions supported by the project team. The main issues are developing soft skills, career planning, cultural understanding, working as a teacher’s assistant. The intern will prepare and show presentations of his/her home country for children in Katranov High School- presentation are to show and to share the idea of cultural tolerance variety. The project is based on working with students from schools. The first task is practice and speak in English language according to various subjects and problems. The intern is going to deliver trainings about team management, team work, time management, presentation skills and other soft skills. The LC provides an opportunity to be involved in LC working events and learning environment activities.
